JJ arrives at the Wye Marsh for the rest of her rehabilitation. Her wing still sits funny and she wont be able to fly again. But she will have a home and live comfortable in her new home with others of her kind with a beautiful big pond.

Her keeper getting her back inside after some fresh air. Taking it one step at a time and slow.
Nice and comfy with lots of warm straw donated by a farmer near me in Innisfil, people came through from all over. Donating food, bedding, and everything that was needed to house JJ. People from all over Ontario came together for this swan. One lucky lady!
                                                                 JJ  number 111.

Having a conversation with her new found friends.

Was good to see her using that wing. Beautiful. She could still strut her stuff.
School children sent her get well cards from all over the place.
The then A Channel news ( now CTV Barrie )interviewing on the big event.
The big release into pond area.
JJ had a buddy named Rosco who was also brought in for rehabilitation from being run over by a ski doo. And left to die. Recovering well they became best buds.

                                                                The happy dance.

My son Jeff getting an interview for TV.
People from all over came to greet her.
One of my favorite photos of her,so soft and gentile a creature who got a second chance at life.
                                                             A special  JJ greeting
My sons class raised money for JJ's care seen here presenting the check. The Outbound Club from Innisdale Secondary School, they then spent a weekend on winter survival at the marsh and got to meet the famous JJ.
Enjoying  a swim. What a beautiful girl.
