This little raccoon was found on neighbors front lawn mid day and would not move. It got up once in a while and moved a bit only to lay down again. It curled up and just wanted to sleep. It clearly needed help. And help it got. Unfortunately the thought of it being a respiratory infection took a turn. And it turned out to be the onset of distemper. This was just a young raccoon from same year. It was so sad to see it have to be euthanized. But worse to see it suffering all alone. Sometimes wildlife needs our assistance to help them so they don't have to suffer anymore. So they can go in peace instead of in pain in fear.
